Conforming Second Mortgage Loan Limits

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will purchase or securitize a second mortgage, provided that the property is the borrower's primary residence (i.e., not a second home or investment property). The maximum allowable original loan amount for a second mortgage is described in the chart below.
